If you’re in the States, I hope you had a beautiful and relaxing Thanksgiving and are searching for the joy in the holidays this year.
If you’ve been with me for a while, you may recall that about this time last year, we decided to move overseas. After selling all our worldly possessions (seriously, we didn’t even own a fork by the end of it), the European borders closed down due to the pandemic. We thought we could wait it out.
We thought wrong.
So, a new plan has taken hold of us, and we are excited about the new opportunities that we have to explore now.
WE BOUGHT A HISTORICAL HOME!!!
AND IT HAS A LION FRONT DOOR KNOCKER!!!
Guys.
I have dreamed of having a lion door knocker since a trip to Italy well over a decade ago. Give me a lion door knocker and a Taco Bell burrito and I am a happy girl.
My husband says I’m easy to please. I tell him he’s lucky. Some days, he agrees with me :).
And this house – it is sooo full of story. I just love it.
I’m also sitting on some news that I’m itching to tell you. But I can’t. Not yet.

Later this week, I’ll have one piece of news I can share and I CANNOT WAIT. But I have too. Trust me, it’ll be worth it.
As always, I hope all is well in your world, and if it isn’t, I hope you have some moments of peace. This has been a hard year–I’m thankful we have each other and good books to give us an outlet to live somewhere else, even if just for a little while.
